During the first weekend of June, this great show, well known to festival-goers, composed of a test show, rides, competitions, animations and conviviality, settles down in Samoëns at the foot of the Grand Massif Express cable car. On more than 15,000 m2, the biggest brands welcome you to present and test the new products of the year. The greatest athletes are also on hand for unique events and shows! A true moment of discovery and exchange between enthusiasts, amateurs and the curious, you will spend a great moment with friends and family, in the heart of the Giffre Valley.
To meet the brands of the sector and to learn about the latest innovations, the mountain bike festival of Samoëns is the show not to be missed. It is the opportunity for brands to present bikes, helmets, components and all other accessories throughout the weekend. The festival is therefore the ideal moment to discover the products of tomorrow, at the foot of the mountains, in a festive atmosphere.
Usually, testing products before you buy them is not a simple matter. You’re not in real-world conditions, nor are you on specially designed trails to test the equipment to its limits. During the festival weekend, everything is planned! You can try more than 2000 products before a possible purchase, while enjoying the mountainous surroundings of Samoens. This way, you can make the right decision and choose your next riding companion and its accessories with certainty.
During the whole weekend, a rich and specific sports program for all profiles of practitioners is proposed. Between amateur and professional competitions, the festival is also an opportunity to rub shoulders with the greatest champions of each discipline. Numerous national and international events, among the most recognized, take place at the Vélo Vert Festival of Samoëns, the great meeting of the world mountain bike scene.
Throughout these 3 days, a multitude of animations are proposed, answering all the practices and all the levels. Whether it is to satisfy the most arduous or the youngest, the festival organizes festive, gourmet and even night rides. The Vélo Vert Festival is also the opportunity to enjoy a good time between enthusiasts.
The choice of the village of Samoëns to host the Vélo Vert Festival is not by chance! Nestled in the Haut-Giffre valley, in the heart of Haute-Savoie, Samoëns is the ideal spot for all types of cycling. From the flat family trails along the Giffre to the mountain singles and the downhill trails accessible from the Grand Massif Express gondola, there are about 20 trails for all levels. From the lounge, you can go directly to the summits or stay in the valley for a simple stroll. Samoëns has also partnered with Morillon to expand the flat routes along the Giffre to offer you marked and accessible itineraries.
“The VVF is the big mountain bike party that brings together enthusiasts in a fun and friendly atmosphere. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet everyone in great conditions.
I’m a passionate cyclist who wants to see the discipline develop. Cycling has given me so much that I have been looking for a long time to find a way to share this passion. Committed to women since always to promote mountain biking, my meeting with Nathalie Grubac of the association Fifty-Fifty in 2018 reasoned in me as an evidence. Since 2020, I am committed to the association as a sponsor and ambassador in a program of reconstruction through sport for women victims of violence.
Cycling, beyond the sporting aspect, has virtues on health, both physical and psychological. You just have to get on a bike for a ride to see for yourself! I am delighted and honored to join the ranks of the Fifty-Fifty team with whom I totally share the values of diversity and commitment to reconstruction through sport.
Here we are at the beginning of an exceptional human adventure supported by the Vélo Vert Festival in Samoëns”.
“First BMX in 1982, first mountain bike in 1994, first full suspension in 2000. I live in the Gard, a territory and a climate that allow me to ride all year round on various terrains. I tend to put aside the time or the accumulation of kilometers ridden, hedonist I take pleasure in riding in beautiful places, on trails with friends, a practice All-Mountain source of exchanges with other practitioners and respectful of nature and people encountered.
It was in 2013 that I discovered the Vélo Vert Festival, during its 4th edition. I used to come regularly to ride in the former hosting area of the event (Vercors), and one day I learned that the Vélo Vert Festival was coming to put its wheels and its show on the first weekend of June. I signed up and there I discovered an event with various events, open to the greatest number, a real show where you can test mountain bikes and accessories and animations for all. Beyond this triptych of activities, I discovered the atmosphere of the festival with organizers close to the festival-goers, motivated volunteers, exhibitors and happy festival-goers. Since then, I register every year and I choose the Premium Pass to enjoy the event in VIP mode!”.
“My job is to ensure the communication of the Lapierre brand on the French, Italian and Spanish territories, as well as to manage media relations and marketing missions.
My first experience on the Green Bike Festival goes back to 2013, I was already on the exhibitor’s side and was working at the time at Lapierre’s after sales service.
As a professional in the field, the Vélo Vert Festival represents for me THE meeting place for mountain biking conviviality. Being a partner of such a prestigious and large-scale event allows Lapierre cycles to stay close to festival-goers and, more generally, to everyday bike users, whether they are already on a Lapierre bike or will be in the future… The proximity, but also the professionalism and conviviality of the VVFestival make it the ideal event to exchange and build new projects.
The races, but also the different themes proposed around the animations organized throughout the show give it an even stronger identity today. The spectrum of activities is constantly growing, always around our common passion: mountain biking!”
