This family farm makes and sells cheeses from its Hérens cow farm, a typical mountain species. “We make Tommes, Tommettes, Croestin, Fromage de Montagne (raclette style), milk, butter, cream, sometimes serac. “, explain the operators. They also offer eggs from their hens, charcuterie, sausages and dried meat from Hérens. A rich choice therefore to delight the palates of lovers of farm products.
The family cattle farm in the mountains produces milk, makes its fresh cheeses, only with milk from its herd. A herd fed with fodder and grass from the meadows of the farm. This structure with two associates, has a herd of 50 dairy cows of breed abundance and the necessary renewal (50 calves and heifers). “The milk produced is largely delivered to the Samoëns fruit dairies to be transformed into AOP Reblochon. The Cimes farm can be visited all year round by reservation and its operators explain their way of working and share their passion with you. These courses end in beauty with the tasting of products to the sound of the accordion. Another possibility to discover the place: after a walk, you will have the opportunity to drink their hot chocolates, coffees, producer juices and taste cakes, sandwiches and farm products.
The breeders of white Saanen goats process their milk and create different products. Among these specialties of the Savoyard region: lactic-type cheese, yogurt or the famous tomme. These delicacies are sold on site at the Eden des Biquettes farm. For the curious or to amaze the little ones, it is possible to observe the herd in order to better understand the work of the farmers (visits by appointment).
