The mountain hut is situated at the Col de la Golèse in the middle of an alpine meadow. It offers a wonderful panorama on the south side overlooking the Giffre valley and Samoëns and on Morzine and Manche valley on the north side.

Located on the route of the GR5, GRP Dents blanches and Tour du Haut Giffre, the Golèse refuge is a starting point for many hikes, and you can stay here for one or more days in charming rooms or dormitories.
Accessible to all from the age of 5 in 1h30 (600m ascent), the refuge was completely rebuilt in the 90s.
The Baud family, who own the refuge, have been welcoming you for over 25 years to this charming alpine setting.
Along the trail, you'll discover a rich variety of mountain plants and, if you're discreet, all the wild fauna of our mountains.

This autumn, come and enjoy the beautiful autumn colors and a fine meal of game.

This winter, the ascent will be groomed and you'll be able to access the refuge on snowshoes or cross-country skis.
