Reading Nights, organized by the National Book Center (CNL), return from January 23 to 26, 2025, on the theme of HERITAGE. In this context, a mountain vigil is organized at the media library: conference, soup and readings.
The 9th Reading Nights, organized for the fourth consecutive year by the National Book Center at the suggestion of the Ministry of Culture, will be held from January 23 to 26, 2025 over four evenings. The public will be invited to come together during thousands of physical and digital events around the theme of heritage.
The Samoëns municipal media library and the Criou Livres association are organizing a mountain vigil on Saturday January 25.
The evening will take place in two stages:
At 6:30 p.m.: conference “Peasant life of yesteryear in the Giffre valley”. Conference on the Clos Parchet ecomuseum farm in Samoëns.
Through the presentation of a slideshow, videos and authentic objects, you will discover life on a farm on the southern slope of Samoëns. Nora Bériou will present this eco-museum to you, a testimony to the agricultural and artisanal know-how of the farmers of the Giffre valley, who lived in harmony with their environment and the seasons.
By Nora Bériou, cultural mediator graduated from the Louvre school, trained in the FALC (Easy to Read and Understand) method for people with disabilities, also Savoie Mont-Blanc Heritage Guide in Samoëns (Haute-Savoie ).
At 8 p.m.: mountain evening to share a hot soup enhanced with readings on the theme of heritage.
