Le Cormet de Roselend is on the Route des Grandes Alpes, in the Beaufortain region.

It's famous for its dam, which caused the village that bears its name, "Roselend", to sink in the 60s. The small Roman chapel has been rebuilt next to the road, overlooking the lake.
