Activities Side:

Frozen River: an icy adventure on the Giffre!
The Frozen River is a (very) refreshing experience to live on the Giffre, the river that crosses the resort of Samoens. Leave aside for a few moments the sensations of sliding on the slopes to try an experience that you will not forget: launch yourself on the river on any whitewater craft: raft, canoe or hydrospeed! Discover incredible unique sensations during an activity usually practiced in summer!
The Frozen River is three possible adventures:
> The descent of the Giffre on any glider: raft, canoe, airboard, hydrospeed…

> The Frozen Day! An adventure with a departure from Samoëns for an outing that starts by skiing off-piste or around the Grand Massif and an arrival at Sixt Fer à Cheval. The return to Samoëns is done… by the river!
> The Exclusive Outing: and for the Frozen Day Outing to end in style, enjoy a delicious hot meal and a moment in the sauna to warm you up!

Cold Yoga

Cold yoga practices (also called toumo) were developed primarily by Tibetans in the Himalayas under very hostile conditions. Cold is known to bring many health benefits: improved blood and lymphatic circulation, increased immunity, better sleep in the evening, favorable effect on thermoregulation…
The activity starts with a snowshoe ride, during which yoga postures are practiced, breathing is activated, muscles contracted and the body rubbed to activate the internal heat. Breath is used as a tool of consciousness. So many tricks to reconnect to the environment as well as to oneself and learn to better fight the cold.
