Laurine Lafontaine is a landscape photographer. Free entry during media library opening hours. Exhibition organized by the Criou Livres association.
A native of Haute-Savoie, Laurine Lafontaine lives in Sixt Fer à Cheval, and has always grown up in a mountain environment. Very quickly she wanted to bring back memories of her hikes, and this is how she started photography. Since then, she has traveled the different massifs in search of a particular atmosphere or a moment of serenity offered by the mountain.
Laurine loves the light at sunrise as much as at sunset, which highlights the mountain landscapes. The light of the night... for its part, leaves very little visible, and it is up to our eyes to get used to it in order to see the contrasts. Through photography, Laurine seeks to bring back moments of freedom, moments of calm far from the tumult of current lives.
The series of photographs exhibited at the media library is called “Ephemeral Nights”. The night in the mountains is a great source of inspiration. When the world goes to sleep, Laurine's world opens its doors. Solitary, without light, there is only silence and the universe. She loves these different contrasts, these infinite stars, and this feeling of being so small, so insignificant in the face of these expanses.
Like a waking dream, Laurine Lafontaine would like this series to take the visitor on a journey, to be disconnected from reality for a short moment in order to feel the calm of the mountain night.
Visiting the exhibition is free, during media library opening hours.
