Heritage guides invite you to discover Samoëns through a walk combining art history, discovery of the hamlets and a visit to the village and its traditions. A real moment of sharing and discovery with your guide, this is a place steeped in history that will be presented to you with its local traditions, shared by all Septimontains and Septimontaines. Reservations and information for guided tours are made directly with the Samoëns tourist office. Every Thursday from 2 to 4 pm, until October 31th, the ecomuseum opens its doors to you for timeless guided tours. Named after the Clos Parchet, the Samoëns ecomuseum is an old farmhouse restored to 19th-century codes, housing numerous objects from the period.
Its founder, Pierre Dechavassine, has given the ecomuseum a true account of his life and that of his ancestors. A wonderful moment of discovery and culture to share with family and friends!

The Samoëns guide office offers you to practice via-ferrata, climbing and caving. The Via Ferrata, a cross between hiking and rock-climbing, allows you to enjoy magnificent scenery overlooking the course of the Giffre, the valley’s torrent. Clinging securely to the wall, you move safely over ladders, suspension bridges and other obstacles.
As for caving, Samoëns is famous for its Gouffre Jean Bernard, the second deepest chasm in the world. It’s a great sport for all ages, and can be enjoyed by beginners and experts alike. Through the caves, you’ll discover another of the valley’s riches, hidden beneath the surface.

This autumn, spice up your holidays with a little sporting action by renting one of the many courts at the Samoëns tennis club. With 5 tennis courts (4 concrete courts and 1 green set) and 3 beach tennis courts, a variant that’s as much fun as it is sporty, you can play tennis without moderation! Available for hire by the hour, tennis courts can be booked on the Ten’up application for €12 per hour and on presentation of an identity document. If you’d like to learn to play or improve your skills, private lessons are available as well as courses dedicated to practice.

Discover, this autumn one of the most beautiful and vast fishing in a first category mountain environment. Samoëns gives you access to over 27 km of Giffre from Morillon to Sixt Fer à Cheval, as well as 23 km of nants (rivers), the Gers lakes, the Gouilles Rouges, the second Lac aux Dames and the communal lakes of Samoëns and Morillon. Enough to end the season on a high note in the heart of the Alps, in the Giffre Valley.
