Magnificent landscapes, with colours that range from the anthracite grey of the rocks to the turquoise blue of mountain lakes. This penultimate stage has a high mountain character.
Clockwise itinerary
From the refuge de la Vogealle, follow the previous day's route towards the lake. After a sharp rise, take the left-hand path towards the "refuge du Folly par le lac des Chambres" up to the Pas de l'Ours. The path winds along, past a waterfall and into the Vallon de la Vogeallette and then the Vallon des Chambres (snow-covered all year round). Once you've reached the lake, keep to the right and take the cable route that rises above the ice and turquoise-blue waters. After a flat spot, the path descends rapidly, crosses the cold-water torrent, passes a scree and then a grassy slope, and you've reached the Refuge du Folly.
Whatever your hike, remember to take cereal bars, sufficient water, sunglasses, sun cream, a small first aid kit, as well as clothes adapted to your outing according to the season and the weather forecast.
