Guided tour of the historical and architectural heritage of Samoëns.
Discover the history of Samoëns and its famous migrant craftsmen, together with the guides of the Société des Maçons, an association that upholds the tradition of stone working in the Upper Giffre Valley. The tour starts from the main square, with its ornamental fountain, la Grenette (the covered market place), the former château and stables and the great lime tree. The guides will help you see beyond the stones, into the life of the old village huddled round the church, as well as its modern development to a holiday destination in summer and winter.
