SPECIFICATIONS CHARTER OF HEALTH COMMITMENTS

“SAMOËNS HYGIENE & SAFE”

  • Basic principles for a quality household:

– I logically organize the maintenance of the home so as not to return to a room already cleaned and disinfected,

– I start cleaning with the dirtiest area and end with the cleanest area,

– I wash from the top down (ex: from the 1st floor to the ground floor, from the ceiling to the floor), from the bottom of the room to the exit,

– I leave my shoes outside the home and use shoes dedicated to cleaning or wear single-use shoe overshoes.

– I ensure that I perform cleaning and disinfection activities outside the presence of children or fragile people.

  • The products:

– A cleaning product:

I use a common commercial multi-surface cleaner. An environmentally friendly and effective alternative is a mixture of water and soap or dish product.

– A virucidal product: mandatory in the case of the Covid19 health crisis or any other delicate sanitary period. I check the composition at the back of the product, the water to which it is mixed must not be hot so as not to cancel its virucidal properties.

Information on the use of products:

– There are both detergent and disinfectant products but many detergent products are not disinfectant.

– Mixing water and bleach extract with acidic products results in the release of chlorine which can cause severe irritation. The same applies to ammonia-based mixtures that emit chloramine.

It is therefore recommended that the person carrying out the disinfection avoid any contact with the product by protecting himself with dedicated clothing and protective gloves.

  • The material:

– Adequate equipment:

I use rags, mops, sponges for single use or that can be washed in a machine. I ensure that I follow the manufacturer’s instructions for all cleaning and disinfecting products (e.g. concentration, method of application and contact time, etc.)

– I avoid the use of spray or sprayer to limit the inhalation of disinfectant spray (irritating the respiratory tract).

– I avoid the use of the vacuum cleaner, unless it is equipped with a very high efficiency filter for airborne particles (HEPA filter), I prefer the use of a single-use strip impregnated with a detergent (water + soap for example).

  • The householde procedure:

– I air the rooms at least 15 to 30 minutes (if possible I leave the windows open during the maintenance).

– I start by removing the sheets and textiles without shaking them with gloves (or I ask my clients to do this task before departure and put the linen in a large closed bag).

– If the dwelling has not been occupied for a long time, I let the water run to drain the volume that has stagnated in the inner pipes during the closure period.

– Before disinfecting the home, I clean the surfaces with a cleaning product (water + soap for example), Reminder: disinfection is not an act of cleaning these are two complementary steps to carry out successively.

I follow the following steps if the cleaning and disinfection of surfaces are carried out with two different products (detergent then disinfectant):

  1. Cleaning with a washing strip impregnated with a detergent,
  2. Rinse with water with another washing strip,
  3. Drying of surfaces,
  4. Disinfection with a third soaked wash strip. (A previously used strip or wipe should never be returned to a clean product; reusable wipes can only be used after washing at 60°C)..

– I disinfect the soil using a virucide that meets the virucidal standard EN 14476, or bleach diluted with 0.5% active chlorine (for example 1 litre of bleach at 2.6% + 4 litres of cold water).

– I disinfect the surfaces of contact with diluted bleach paying special attention to plastic and steel surfaces, objects that are the subject of regular contacts such as work surfaces, tables, chairs, switches, handles, toilets, remote controls, appliances buttons, doorbell, digicode, stair ramps…

– I clean dishes and cutlery in the dishwasher (or I clean with water and dishware).

– I machine wash sheets and household linen at 60°, For the disinfection of non machine washable textile surfaces (ex: mattresses, covers, pillows), I remove bed linen and guarantee a ventilation time of several hours before putting the linen clean and/or use single-use protective covers (for each tenant) and/or I prefer the use of waterproof mattress covers, Duvet and pillow washable with sponge. In case the home is not equipped with a washing machine, I isolate the linen in a separate bag to carry it.

– A procedure for spraying virucidal products by means of a mechanical mist-inducing action reduces the time required and ensures that non washable textiles are treated.

Outside the dwelling:

– I dust and clean the outside surfaces with a cleaning agent (water + soap, for example) before disinfecting them.

– I disinfect the terrace/balcony (e.g., tiles) using a virucide, such as bleach diluted in water (be careful, bleach can whiten wood).

– I disinfect contact surfaces with diluted bleach, garden furniture, deckchairs, armrests, bike handles, railings, guardrails, etc.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be used in the event of the COVID-19 health crisis:

– A mask: single-use or machine washable (after each use) to prevent contamination during home maintenance.

– Gloves: I prefer single-use gloves. I throw them away at the end of home maintenance. For reusable gloves, thoroughly disinfect with bleach before and after home maintenance. I make sure to wash my hands before and after using the gloves. If single-use gloves are not used, I make sure to wash my hands before, during and after cleaning. I wash the clothes I wore when I cleaned and disinfected at 60°C in a machine, as well as the mask if it is not for single use.

  • Waste management:

– I have a garbage bag dedicated to hazardous waste (masks, gloves, disposable tissues, cleaning strips, etc.). I double this garbage bag, then wait 24 hours before I dump it in the garbage chute.
